Finding Christ on Every Page

Sometimes we approach Scripture searching for instructions, encouragement, or answers to the questions weighing on our hearts. And while God’s Word graciously gives us wisdom for life, it offers us something even greater: a clearer vision of Jesus Christ.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells one beautiful story—God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son.

The promises, sacrifices, prophets, kings, and covenants of the Old Testament all prepare our hearts for Christ. The Gospels invite us to behold Him as He walks among us, full of grace and truth. The letters teach us what it means to belong to Him, while Revelation points us toward the day when we will see Him in all His glory.

Jesus Himself said that the Scriptures testify about Him.

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”
— Luke 24:27

This changes the way we read.

Instead of only asking, “What should I do?” we can also ask, “What does this passage show me about Christ?”

Does it reveal our need for a perfect Saviour?
Does it point to His faithfulness, mercy, holiness, or sacrifice?
Does it remind us of a promise He has fulfilled—or one He will surely fulfil?

When we behold Christ in Scripture, reading the Bible becomes more than gathering information. It becomes an invitation to know Him, trust Him, love Him, and treasure Him more deeply.

So, dear sister, open your Bible with expectation. Even in familiar passages, there is more of Christ to behold. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes, steady your heart, and help you see the beauty of Jesus woven throughout God’s precious Word.

The greatest treasure in Scripture is not merely an answer.

It is Christ Himself.
